Class Descriptions

Prenatal, Parent Support, & Child Development

Daniele Strawmyre's focus in teaching has always been in helping people “increase their body intelligence", making a distinction between giving a class and teaching a class, wanting her students to leave with new understanding of their habitual movement patterns and with tools to improve their posture, awareness and overall sense of well being (and have lots of fun in the process).

She helps her students find ways to access their joy through a more self-aware relationship with their bodies and a more fine-tuned mind-body connection.

Daniele offers in-home private lessons as well as group classes such as Prenatal Yoga, Multi-tasking Mama Yoga, Postpartum Yoga/Baby and Me.


Find Your Mama Tribe

This class is designed to provide women with a safe space to connect with their changing bodies as well as other moms to be, connecting their experience to others in their community as well as that of women throughout history, tapping into the innate wisdom within.

You will be guided through asana that prepares you for pregnancy, giving birth, and provides a foundation for postpartum recovery.

It will help you cultivate a new awareness that will assist you through labor and delivery, and find a deeper connection with your growing baby.  

Interweaving childbirth education as well as addressing aches and pains associated with pregnancy, the class will help to strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, provide relief and comfort to the areas of the body most impacted by your growing belly.

Start making space in your life and in your body for your baby and find your mama tribe in the process.


Create Special Memories With Your New Baby

This class provides a comfortable, supportive environment for new parents and their little babes (about 6 weeks up to crawling) to spend some time together bonding while caregiver starts to regain strength and tone muscle, relieve stress and tension from the most common “new baby trouble spots”, the neck, shoulders and upper back, and work on stabilizing the abdominal wall, lower back, and pelvis after pregnancy and childbirth.

You and your baby will play while you practice yoga, occasionally sing songs, explore movement, practice infant massage and connect with other parents and babies. Feeding, diaper changing, crying babies, sleeping babies, playful babies are all welcome during class.

Bring a baby blanket, some toys, and whatever else will make you feel comfortable as you meet other parents and create special memories with your new baby.


Let Loose With Your Little One

Have you tried to practice at home only to have your toddler climb all over you and bring everything to a screeching halt? Has your child started crawling or otherwise outgrown all of the “baby and me” Yoga classes? Are you on to baby number 2 or 3 and just can’t seem to find the time to practice?

Well, then this class is for you! I can’t guarantee your kiddos won’t climb all over you, but you will be guided through a nice, juicy and moderately-paced Vinyasa class while your kiddo(s) can play and let loose with other little ones. It's a little Zen and a little "Lord of the Flies". Generally, when there are lots of kids in the room, they start to be more interested in each other, leaving parents a little reprieve. Think yoga class meets play-date.

Children are always welcome to practice with parents (all caregivers welcome), but they’re also welcome to stay true to their free-wheelin, curious and energy filled nature and just PLAY.

Bring a toy or two for kids to play with and water or milk, but please no snacks.

Core Rebuild/Baby and Me

For mamas with any pregnancy related abdominal protrusion AKA “mommy tummy” or mild to moderate Diastasis Recti, these classes teach you how to access and engage the muscles of the core: the transverse abdominis, iliopsoas, and pelvic floor. Improve posture, lessen/alleviate lower back pain, and make your stomach look flatter, waist smaller, and restore your strength and confidence. Whether you had your baby(ies) 3 months ago or 3 years ago, these classes can help you! Babies and toddlers welcome. If you have older children, please contact us and we'll see if it will work!

Bring a toy or two for kids to play with and water or milk, but please no snacks. We will have some toys and books to help keep littles occupied.

All classes are $16 Drop-in, 5 class card $70 (expires in 6 months)                                                                                                        *for Multi-tasking Mama, price is for 1 adult, 1 child; an additional $2 is asked for each extra kiddo you bring.

*if your due date and card expiration or some other extenuating circumstance become a concern, just email or call me and we can extend it. Motherhood is all about flexibility and so are we!
