“Postpartum can be such an intense time. I feel like our society spends a lot of time preparing for the birth, and much less, if any, on preparing for postpartum. Pregnancy and postpartum were a struggle for me, and it sparked a passion for supporting others through it. I strive to spread that support as much as possible, so I love working with RSG to help spread the love!”
I started training to be a postpartum doula while I was pregnant and postpartum with my first baby, 8 years ago. I was working around doulas at the time, still learning about what they do. The impact on me of their energy and support, just from working alongside them, was so incredible, and I knew that's what I wanted to do for others.
Along with being a postpartum doula, I am also a babywearing educator, a car seat technician, and photographer with a specialty in newborns and families!
During my second pregnancy, and postpartum with both of my babies, I experienced PMADs (perinatal mood disorders) and really learned about what a rough ride it can be. I became passionate about supporting others through this. I took trauma- informed courses, and joined Baby Blues Connection to help support people with PMADs.
I love this work. I love watching the transformations that take hold of each person, and walking alongside them as they flourish through those transformations.
