PRENATAL CLASSES
Do your classes for pregnancy help with giving birth?
Yes! Yoga can be very helpful in preparing your mind and body for birth. In addition to strengthening your body, the movements and poses create opportunities to learn and practice relaxation techniques and coping skills that can be used during pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Prenatal yoga & movement classes can also help release tight muscles, activate muscles important for childbirth, improve alignment, and strengthen & stretch the pelvic floor, all of which support a smoother delivery and postpartum recovery.
We also interweave Childbirth Education into all our prenatal classes so students can learn about the process of birth and their birthing options.
How is prenatal yoga different from other yoga?
Prenatal yoga is specifically designed to support the pregnant body, with special attention to the anatomical and physiological changes that occur during pregnancy. It addresses the common aches and pains of pregnancy and helps prepare your body for birth, labor, and a smoother postpartum recovery.
When is the best time to start doing prenatal yoga & movement classes during pregnancy?
It’s never too early (or too late) to start! Some students prefer to wait until after the first trimester, once they’re feeling a bit less fatigued. Other students begin right away and practice up until they give birth. Prenatal yoga can be modified to meet you where you are (physically and emotionally) all throughout your pregnancy.
Yoga and many other fitness classes are generally considered safe during pregnancy, especially if you already have a regular practice. However, certain modifications are critical during pregnancy so it’s important that your instructor has had additional training in supporting and guiding pregnant students. Prenatal Yoga & Movement instructors are attuned to the anatomical and physiologic changes that occur during pregnancy and classes tend to focus on pelvic floor health, pregnancy-friendly core exercises, and relaxation techniques to use during birth, which you won’t find in a traditional yoga or movement class.
Can I go to a regular yoga or exercise class while pregnant?
We have specific classes designed to support BOTH pregnant people and their partners, family members, or supportive friends. Our regular prenatal classes are for pregnant folks only. Due to the vulnerability often felt during pregnancy and the comfort of being in community with those navigating similar challenges, we ask that partners and family members not attend regular prenatal yoga classes. Shared experience is a crucial, often cathartic aspect of our prenatal classes which we consider sacred.
Can my partner come with me to prenatal yoga?
POSTPARTUM CLASSES
We welcome babies/children in most of our postpartum classes. Some classes are best suited for our “non-mobile” babies, while others cater to parents with mobile babies, toddlers, and young children. Each class title and/or description will let you know if little ones are welcome.. If you’re still unsure, please email us at info@andreadysetgrow.com and we’re happy to help!
CAN I BRING MY CHILD WITH ME TO YOUR CLASSES?
Our “Baby & Me” classes welcome all the sounds, smells, and disruptions) that come with little ones. These classes follow the rule, “there are no rules.” Crying babies (or Mamas!), sleeping babies, hungry babies, etc. are all welcome, always. We are here to support YOU and your baby! We have extra diapers, wipes, burp clothes, nursing pillows, baby blankets … just about anything you might need.! We are a “come as you are” studio, spit-up-on-your-shirt-and-all!
What if my baby cries, is hungry, has a blowout, or falls asleep in the car?
Yes! Our teachers are trained specifically for postpartum recovery and have a strong understanding of diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, and the postural issues most common in the postpartum time. Classes focus on improving functional strength (important for carrying Baby and lugging those car seats around!) and correcting misalignment and dysfunctional movement patterns that are common after pregnancy. You and your body are in the best of care with us!
ARE YOUR POSTPARTUM CLASSES SAFE IF I’M WORRIED ABOUT DIASTASIS RECTI?
WHEN IS IT SAFE TO RESUME YOGA AFTER GIVING BIRTH?
We recommend waiting to resume yoga until your bleeding has stopped, which is generally 4-6 weeks postpartum. For those who have had a cesarean birth, we ask you to wait 6 weeks or until you receive clearance from your care provider. The movements we teach are intended to support the body’s healing process and focus on areas of the body that tend to get sore and tight due to infant care.
While you’re waiting to resume normal activity, we have options for you! We believe that breathwork, gentle stretching, and intentional movement can (and should!) start soon after birth. To help get you started, we offer a livestream movement class called Brand New Baby - Movement For Postpartum Healing that you can complete right from your bed, right after birth or as soon as you’re ready!
Yes! Some of our classes are offered both in-person and via livestream). We also have an on-demand library available here.
DO YOU HAVE ONLINE OFFERINGS IF I CAN’T MAKE IT TO YOUR STUDIO?
DO YOU HAVE A MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM?
We offer a membership pause for up to 8 weeks on all auto-renewing memberships. Many students choose to schedule this pause after they give birth. To request a pause, please email us.
WHAT DO I DO ABOUT MY MEMBERSHIP WHEN I GIVE BIRTH AND/OR NEED A BREAK?
DO YOU AUTOMATICALLY PAUSE MY MEMBERSHIP AFTER I GIVE BIRTH (POSTPARTUM)?
We don't automatically pause memberships, as some students use their membership almost immediately after birth (like to attend our Brand New Baby - Movement for Postpartum Healing class). We are happy to pause memberships at your request, for up to 8 weeks. Email us at info@andreadysetgrow.com and we will process your request within 5 business days.
If your auto-payment processes before we’re able to initiate your pause, please know that you will not lose any days within your membership month. Your billing cycle will be adjusted based on the duration of your pause and all “leftover” days will be available once your membership resumes.
All Pregnancy, Postpartum, Parent, and Kid Class Cards (as well as Gift Cards) are valid for 6 months. In order to experience the full benefits of our classes and community, we recommend attending classes on a regular basis. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO USE MY 8 CLASS CARD?
Memberships and class packages are non-transferrable and cannot be refunded. We strive to maintain a schedule that meets our community’s needs; however, we cannot guarantee that a specific class, instructor, or format will be offered.

Registrations to workshops and special events must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to receive a credit. No refunds will be issued unless the event is canceled by the studio.
