POSTPARTUM

BABY & ME YOGA - This class provides a comfortable, supportive environment for new parents and their little babes (about 6 weeks up to crawling) to spend some time together bonding while caregiver starts to regain strength and tone muscle, relieve stress and tension from the most common “new baby trouble spots”, the neck, shoulders and upper back, and work on stabilizing the abdominal wall, lower back, and pelvis after pregnancy and childbirth.

You and your baby will play while you practice yoga, occasionally sing songs, explore movement, practice infant massage and connect with other parents and babies. Feeding, diaper changing, crying babies, sleeping babies, playful babies are all welcome during class.

Bring a baby blanket, some toys, and whatever else will make you feel comfortable as you meet other parents and create special memories with your new baby.

BABY & ME CORE REBUILD - In this Pilates based class, you'll learn how to access and engage the muscles of the core: the transverse abdominis, multifidis, and pelvic floor, release tension in the iliopsoas (hip flexors that are often tight after pregnancy) and begin to stabilize your trunk and hips; improving posture, helping to correct diastasis recti and pelvic floor disfunction, so you can feel stronger and pain free while lifting, carrying and chasing your little loves. Improve posture, lessen/alleviate lower back pain, and make your stomach look flatter, waist smaller, and restore your strength and confidence (and stop peeing when you sneeze 😉). Whether you had your baby(ies) 3 months ago or 3 years ago, these classes can help you!

*PERFECT, GENTLE way to address DIASTASIS RECTI. **Birthing parents with or without babies are welcome to attend.

BABY & US YOGA - Similar to our Baby & Me class but with a bit less focus on postpartum recovery and some more attention for non-birthing parents. Any and all caregivers are welcome to attend this class with their pre-crawling baby. We will work on releasing tension in all the areas most affected by caring for a baby while interacting with baby in fun and engaging ways. All levels, all gender identities, all caregivers welcome!

BALLET & BABIES -  A fun, all-level ballet class for postpartum parents while wearing their little ones. We will use the fundamentals of ballet to re-integrate the core while working on strength and flexibility in a warm and welcoming environment. Ballet & Babies is especially helpful for anyone looking to improve their posture and core engagement while baby-wearing (or in general). This class is appropriate for people who are new to ballet as well as those with a movement background. 
*Please wear a symmetrical carrier (ie not a ring sling) and clothing you can move in. No special footwear required. Socks and bare feet recommended. 

CORE BABY BOUNCE - In this fun and unique class, parents will spend half of their time on the mat with baby nearby, and half on a physio-ball while baby-wearing, bouncing their way to a content baby and a stronger core! We will practice exercises that work the deep core (transverse abdominis, multifidis, and pelvic floor), release tension in the iliopsoas (hip flexors that are often tight after pregnancy) and help to stabilize your trunk and hips; improving posture, helping to correct diastasis recti and pelvic floor disfunction, so you can feel stronger and pain free while lifting, carrying and chasing your little loves. 

*You're welcome to take this class with or without baby. If taking the class with baby, please wear a symmetrical carrier (ie not a ring sling) and clothing you can move in. Sneakers or bare feet recommended.

**If you are new to baby-wearing or are using a new carrier, please arrive 15min early for a tutorial. All of our instructors are trained by baby-wearing experts from Adjoyn
