Melissa Curry, (IBCLC, CPM) is a board certified lactation consultant. Melissa has been providing comprehensive, individualized care to families in the childbearing year since 2004, first as a midwife and then as a lactation consultant. A few years after graduating from Indiana University, she became interested in all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery at Birthingway College of Midwifery and enjoyed being the primary midwife in a thriving home birth practice until the birth of her daughter in 2011. It was at that point, and again after the birth of her son in 2014, that she realized how crucial postpartum and lactation support is in helping ease the transitions new families face. Melissa is a warm, intuitive, and compassionate care provider who knows that skillful client-centered support can have a profound ripple effect in each person’s immediate and long-term parenting journey. She loves teaching, which gives her the opportunity to prepare parents to meet their individual feeding goals.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys exploring new places with her family, traveling, reading, and growing food and flowers. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Eric, her two children, and their French Bulldog Pearl.
