“Growing up as a transracial adoptee and later reuniting with my Korean birth family has inspired me to focus on working with families - holding positive healing spaces and building supportive community bonds among parents and children. It takes a village!”

Whitney has been a student of yoga for over a decade, beginning as a practice when she needed to take a break from life’s stressors and slowly learning more about the depth of the practice. She later found Thai Massage and Acroyoga while volunteering at the Sunshine House in Greece. After her first time flying, her life was forever changed. In both yoga and acroyoga, it’s not about “getting the pose,” but the experience and journey of self-discovery.

In 2015, Whitney went to Asia for a year of travel and exploration. She studied Vipassana meditation in Myanmar and Thailand, and Thai bodywork at the Sunshine School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She continued practicing yoga, acroyoga and Thai bodywork in Malaysia and Bali, and in 2016, she went to India to obtain her 200-hour Yoga Alliance teaching certification in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga at Rishikul Yogshala in Rishikesh. Since her return to the US, she has become certified and specializes in Kids & Family Yoga and Yin Yoga.
Whitney passionately believes in the healing power of presence and community. By lifting others up (sometimes literally), learning to trust, and building a supportive foundation for others through partner and group yoga, we can take away not only physical, but emotional and mental benefits to apply throughout our lives and relationships.
